Lessons From My Grandson – Elmo Makes An Appearance At Christmas In this lesson, Granddad Charlie shows you how far toys have come and how they can interact with children. Usually we don’t like inanimate objects being loved by our kids (as opposed to people) but it’s interesting to see how lifelike Big Hugs Elmo is through the eyes of a toddler.
Grandson Beckett loves Thomas The Tank Engine and knows all the engine names. Puzzles, toys, TV shows, games. And sure he received some Thomas toys for Christmas gifts.
And then there’s Elmo. Even as a very young toddler, Beckett recognized Elmo. He’d call his name. He had a small doll, videos, a shirt, and more for sure.
Beckett is demonstrative and shows his love to people. So when Granddad Charlie saw Big Hugs Elmo, the decision to get it for Beckett was easy. This toy is amazing… and Beckett loves it.
Lesson here? Let a child learn to share his love no matter how he does it. And hugging sure is a great beginning.
